Forty years ago, homosexuality was considered a psychological disorder. Today, it's becoming an accepted part of our society. No longer something hidden and taboo, the topic of homosexuality has come out of the closet. Today's teens see it as a fact of their everyday lives. While all this is true, discrimination, bullying, and rejection are still very real. This series presents a look at healthy gay lifestyles, positive role models, and supportive communities as well as the social and political stigma that gay people still face. This series confronts the issues–honestly, sympathetically, without bias–offering young adults, whatever their sexual orientation, the necessary facts to build understanding and tolerance.
